1. 🛠️ Preparation: The Most Important Step

• Empty the Room & Remove Fixtures: Remove all furniture or gather it in the center and cover it. Always **unscrew and remove switch plates, outlet covers, and light fixtures**. Do not simply tape around them.
• Repair Imperfections: Fill all holes, dents, or cracks using spackle or joint compound. Once dry, **sand the patched areas smooth** with 220-grit sandpaper.
• Clean and De-Gloss: Vacuum walls to remove dust. Wipe all surfaces with a mild soap and water mixture, and allow them to **dry completely**. For glossy surfaces, lightly scuff-sand to create "tooth."
